About Us

We specialize in matching optical and ophthalmic professionals with top practices and companies. We are located in Denver, Colorado and Dallas, TX, but we serve clients nationally and internationally. Leveraging our industry expertise and VisionTechnician network, we make make a trusted staffing partner for all of your eye care hiring needs.

Our
Story

VisionTechnicians began in 1988 when Jaye, an ophthalmic practice administrator, decided to start a company devoted to helping ophthalmic practices find the ever-so-elusive ophthalmic professional. Still today, 37 years later, we are helping large and small eye care practices nationwide find and hire top eye care talent. Our team has the unique combination of healthcare experience, staffing experience, and clinical ophthalmology experience to make staffing and recruiting an ease and a breeze for hiring managers. Our clients range from small practices of 10 - 15 employees, all the way up to large ophthalmic divisions of 200+ employees, as well as retail optometry companies in excess of 1000 employees. No matter what type of eye care practice it is, we can staff it with the best eye care talent in the world.

Faith at Work: Our Values

At VisionTechnicians, we believe excellence in staffing and leadership flows from something deeper than skill alone. Faith isn’t something we check at the door—it shapes how we work, lead, and serve.

F — Faithfulness

Success isn’t built on hype. It’s built on steady, reliable faithfulness. Show up. Keep your word. Do the small things well. In staffing, trust is everything. When clients and candidates know you’re consistent, honest, and dependable, you reflect the character of Christ in a practical way. Faithfulness compounds over time—personally and professionally.

A — Attitude Shapes Atmosphere

Workplaces rise or fall on attitude. Choose gratitude over complaint, solutions over cynicism. A faith-filled attitude doesn’t ignore challenges—it brings hope into them. When you respond with calm confidence under pressure, you shift the emotional climate of the room. Leadership often starts with emotional steadiness.

I — Integrity in the Details

Integrity is who you are when no one is watching. It’s accurate reporting, honest conversations, fair billing, and transparent communication. In our industry, details matter. Faith at work means doing what’s right even when it costs something. Long-term influence is always built on short-term integrity.

T — Team Before Self

Faith reminds us that success is shared. Put the mission above ego. Serve coworkers. Celebrate others’ wins. Ask, “How can I help?” A Christ-centered workplace values people over position. When teams operate in humility and mutual respect, productivity increases—and so does joy.

H — Hope Drives Excellence

Hope is a competitive advantage. It fuels resilience when placements fall through, contracts stall, or growth slows. Faith gives perspective: today’s setback isn’t the final story. Bring optimism rooted in conviction, not denial. Hopeful people endure longer, adapt faster, and inspire others to keep going.

A Word from the President

If there's one thing we know, it's eye care talent. But more important than what we know, is who we are. We are dedicated to honesty, integrity, and compassion. In every interaction with our candidates and our clients, we want to display the character and kindness of God.

-Justin Broady, MBA
